You know that keeping your beard and mustache well-groomed and hair trimmed are vital to maintaining your image, but how much thought do you give to your skin? No matter how great your hair and beard look, if you don’t take care of your skin you’ll never look your best. And with the abuse your skin is taking from constant mask-wearing, it could probably use a little TLC. The good news is that a great skincare routine doesn’t have to be hard or complicated. Here are some tips to help keep your skin looking great.
Degrease Daily
Daily cleansing is more important now than ever with the current mask requirements. Masks tend to hold dirt and oil next to your skin that can clog pores and cause breakouts. So be sure to give your face a thorough wash before bed every night. Keep in mind that your face is more sensitive than the rest of your body, so body wash or bar soap may not be the best choice. Opt for a face wash instead.
Scrub and Buff Weekly
A buildup of dead skin will leave your face looking dull. Giving it a good scrub and buff with an exfoliating cleanser once a week will remove the buildup that’s dulling things down. It will also unclog pores and help prevent ingrown hairs from shaving. If you have very oily skin you may want to do this a couple of times per week.
Keep Skin Hydrated
You’ll want to apply a moisturizer after washing to keep your skin well hydrated. This is an important step you don’t want to skip. Dry skin looks dull, and that’s exactly what we’re trying to avoid. Be sure you’re drinking plenty of water as well to keep things hydrated from the inside out.
