Fades
Yep, fades aren’t going anywhere. If you’re not aware of what they are, it’s when there’s almost no hair along the sides and back of the head. But, you’ll see hair on the top of the head. Close to a taper haircut, but the taper gradually goes from thick to think much slower than the fade.

Burr Buzz Cut
This is similar to a military buzz cut, but the length is a little longer. If you’re not ready to take the full plunge into a short military buzz cut, this is the cut to try.

Crop Cut with a High Skin Fade
You can look to Tom Hardy from his role in Taboo, to see this cut. It’s a very edgy, daring cut that has a high skin fade. This makes the hair on top appear longer, and makes the overall texture more noticeable. You’ll also see a ‘cat scratch’ on the side, towards the back that finishes off the overall look.

Short Part with Fade
You can achieve this look with any thickness of hair, it’s an easy style to pull off and thus why it’s so popular. To achieve this look, ask your barber to shave a hard part line on both sides of your head. You can choose the length or even ask for a design to be added in your fade that connects to the part.

The Technicolor Crop
A simple buzz-cut made into a colorful creation, you’ll see every color of the rainbow this year. A very 80’s punk look with a millennial hip-hop twist.

Line Up
A line up, otherwise called an edge or shape up, will create a sharp, clean hairline that frames your face. Your barber will shave a straight line will go across your forehead and then around your temples. And, if you have a buzz cut, waves or a fade, the addition of these sharp lines will add more definition to strong jawlines.
